The owners, Jim & Pearl Swearingen recently retired from long careers in public education and public health to run our property full time.
We purchased Island View after doing the southern leg of the Circle Tour around Lake Superior, in 2009.
On that vacation, we fell in love with the town of Bayfield, the Apostle Islands, and the dramatic panorama of Lake Superior.
We found it an ideal place to unwind, reflect, rejuvenate, and return year after year.
